The Novice Team consists of rowers and coxswains who are in their first year of competitive racing. Typically, Novice student athletes are high school Freshmen or Sophomores, although Juniors, Seniors and 8th-graders are eligible and compete on the Novice Team.  

The Novice squad consists of 10-16 athletes.
