Layla Sisca

Layla started her rowing career spring of her freshman year after being a competitive swimmer for 8 years. She is a Senior at Ridgefield High School.

Career Highlights:

In the fall of 2023, Layla’s first novice season, she was in the stroke set of the U17 4+ at the Head of the Charles. That spring, she was in the 2 seat of the U17 4+, earning 13th place. Later that year, Layla was in the stroke seat of the Varsity 4+ at the Head of the Charles, starting bow number 1 and finishing 15th overall. In the spring of 2025, Layla raced in the Varsity 4 at Nationals and brought home a silver medal.

Fun Facts: 

  • Layla is a swim instructor and can teach anyone to swim
  • She was a ski racer for 2 years for her high school
  • Likes to paint pottery in her free time
  • Swam a 5k
  • Layla is a lefty

Favorite Part About CBC:

I love the welcoming atmosphere and team culture at CBC. Being an all girls club makes our team a little smaller, so the girls are really able to connect and become super close to one another.
