Summer rowing season starts soon! This page explains how to register to participate as a rower on one of the Connecticut Boat Club teams. While we are a single group, each athlete is on one of three teams — the Development Team (or “Dev Team”) is for rowers who are new to the sport. The Novice Team (or “Novs”) is for returning rowers who are ready to start experiencing competition. The CBC Varsity Team is for our High School athletes who are ready to compete at a high level. We are proud of the many CBC Varsity Team alumae who have enjoyed success at competitive college programs all over the United States (one of the many great reasons to consider joining CBC).
This Summer, CBC is offering four 2-week sessions. You can sign up for any combination of sessions, or sign up for all four for the best summer ever!
Summer 2023 Camp Schedules
Learn to Row / Development Team Camps
There will be four separate two-week summer sessions for the CBC Learn to Row and Dev Team Sessions. Each session will meet five days a week. You can register for one or both sessions here.
The first session will start June 12, 2023 and will run through June 23, 2023. In the first session, camp times will be Monday – Friday from 3:45pm to 6:15pm.
The second session will start June 26, 2023 and will run through July 7, 2023 (with no camp on July 4). Camp times for this session will be Monday – Friday from 9:30am to 12:00pm.
The third session will start July 10, 2023 and will run through July 21, 2023. Camp times for this session will be Monday – Friday from 9:30am to 12:00pm.
The fourth session will start July 24, 2023 and will run through August 4, 2023. Camp times for this session will be Monday – Friday from 9:30am to 12:00pm.

Novice Team and Varsity Team (the “Competitive Team”)

Preseason Training Camp
CBC athletes may also register for a one week pre-season training camp which runs from August 21, 2023 to August 25, 2023. Pre-season training camp is a great way to get ready for the fall racing season! Practice times will be from 9:30am to noon, Monday through Friday.
